Minera\u00e7\u00e3o Taboca<\/h2>\n

Minera\u00e7\u00e3o Taboca states that, to date, it has not been formally notified by the aforementioned authorities of any new investigative steps related to the proceeding being handled by the Federal Prosecutor\u2019s Office in Amazonas (MPF-AM) and that, to the company\u2019s knowledge, there is no causal or technical relationship between the reported events and its operations.<\/p>\n

The company also highlights that its response to the MPF-AM was filed on 7 May 2026, within the stipulated deadline. Taboca continues to monitor the situation reported by the communities and recognises the importance of clarifying the facts based on technical and scientific evidence.<\/p>\n

The company states that the Cooperation Agreement signed with the Waimiri Atroari Community Association (ACWA) aims to develop social initiatives and strengthen productive activities within the community.<\/p>\n

Finally, Minera\u00e7\u00e3o Taboca reaffirms its commitment to conducting its operations responsibly, maintaining transparent dialogue with stakeholders and fully cooperating with the authorities to clarify the facts.<\/p>\n

ANM (Brazil\u2019s National Mining Agency)<\/h2>\n

On 22 May, Brazil\u2019s National Mining Agency (ANM) held a meeting with Minera\u00e7\u00e3o Taboca to discuss next steps related to the inquiry being conducted by the Federal Prosecutor\u2019s Office into the company\u2019s operations. At the meeting, short-term measures related to the case were agreed upon, aimed at updating information relevant to oversight of the mine and mineral processing plant operations.<\/p>\n

As part of the planned measures, an inspection of the company\u2019s operational area is expected to take place in the second half of June, with the aim of investigating outstanding technical and procedural issues, as well as providing the supporting information requested by the Federal Prosecutor\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n

Finally, the agency clarifies that it has not been informed by the competent environmental authorities of any possible mineral extraction activity carried out outside the authorised boundaries. However, any finding of irregularities is subject to due investigation, through the initiation of the relevant administrative proceedings and the adoption of appropriate measures, in accordance with current legislation.<\/p>\n

Ibama (Brazilian Institute of Environment and Renewable Natural Resources)<\/h2>\n

The Brazilian Institute of Environment and Renewable Natural Resources (Ibama) continues to monitor and analyse developments related to the matter.<\/p>\n

Any actions taken or statements issued by Ibama on the matter will be disclosed in due course, in accordance with the criteria required for the proper conduct of its activities, as well as for preserving the safety and well-being of the teams involved.<\/p>\n
